We at Stock Photo Press lead the largest network of online publications covering the stock imagery world, including this site's older sister: Stock Photo Secrets. But we had until now focused exclusively in still imagery – stock photos, vectors and illustrations. Stock footage was long-planned, and highly expected expansion in our expertise.
Why? In latest years, motion imagery – video content – started to consistently and exponentially gain ground in the consumer market. Every research and expert pointed every day more a growing popularity of video for massive end consumers, and footage became very hot in visual trends. As it couldn't be otherwise, the stock imagery industry adopted it – if people want it, brands and companies will need it, and stock agencies aim at providing it.
In the past years, stock footage has consolidated as a very profitable and active market, with lots of vendors and buyers. Although similar in certain aspects, stock footage is different from stock photography. Lots of details, from file formats to licensing terms, are different when you're working with stock videos.
